Virginia is a place rich in festivals and trade shows dedicated to food and harvests, history, heritage,
holidays, wines and beverages, antiques, music, ponies, birds, art, boats, and friends and families. Virginia
festivals and trade shows are annual events where visitors are sure to not only find what they look for in trade
but also enjoy the food, shows, games, rides, and exhibits.
Chocolate Lovers Festival The festival is an annual festival for all ages that features activities for families,
including the Taste of Chocolate, with chocolate vendors promoting their goods; the Chocolate Challenge, which is
an art extravaganza using chocolates as the medium; Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast that features chocolate chip
pancakes; as well as children’s activities, craft shows, historic re-enactments, and special events. Some of the
events have an admission fee and others are free.
Every year the Chocolate Lovers Festival chooses a charitable institution to donate a fraction of the proceeds
raised from the festival. The aim of the festival is to attract visitors to the Old Town Fairfax and support the
public’s participation to foster cooperation among the business community, government, and local residents.
Charlottesville Vegetarian Festival This is one of the annual Virginia festivals and trade shows that is not for
vegetarians alone, but features a hundred exhibitors and six-thousand visitors every year. The outdoor festival is
free in celebration with healthy and humane lifestyle, including free delicious, vegan food samples, restaurant
booths, exhibitors, nonprofit and educational organizations, dog and cat adoption fair, and much more.
Savor Virginia Food and Beverage Expo The fall event is to celebrate outstanding Virginia grown products with
exhibitors and activities planned throughout the month of October, featuring Virginia apple month and Virginia
pumpkin month. The event is one of Virginia festivals and trade shows that enhance the rich agricultural industry
of Virginia.
Virginia Beef Expo The trade show is hosted by the Virginia Beef Industry, featuring beef fest’s, exhibitors of
various products and services for the beef industry, plus cattle displays, contests, and exhibitors who discuss
cattle needs, from vaccines to equipments.
Town Point Virginia Wine Festival The annual festival features the oldest and largest wine festival of Hampton
Road, with musical entertainment while sampling over thirty vintages from the premier makers of wines in Virginia.
Additionally, gourmet foods and specialty products are available throughout the week of the festival.
Puquoson Seafood Festival The festival is an annual event that tributes the working watermen of the Chaespeake
Bay, as well as the rich coastal custom of the place. The festival features outstanding national and regional
musical entertainment, some savory dishes from its waters such as crab cakes, oysters, clams, shrimp, soft shell
crabs, clam chowder, catfish, crab soup, and a lot of other festival favorites.
